I Can’t Live Without..

I recently attended a job fair that required us to fill out a questionnaire. While there were the basic interview questions, “favourite product”, “why you want to work with us”, there was one in particular that caught my attention. “List five things you couldn’t live without”. This was particularly hard for me, there are so many things in my life that I truly could not live without. While I answered the question pretty quickly as we had limited time, it definitely got me thinking after I got home. I have decided to create a new list and share it with all of you. I have left off obvious answers, like my friends and family, and included more luxury items.

Candles

I love candles. I think they are the most wonderful/ amazing thing in the world. One of my favourite things in the world to do after a long day is to light a candle and enjoy a cup of tea (currently doing so as I write this). In the fall I lean towards scents such as pumpkin and cinnamon but I love anything floral or breezy (like the ocean).

Brinkley

I know I said I wasn’t going to include friends and family but.. look at that face. Brinkley is just too cute to leave off this list! Even the thought of seeing her makes me so happy and my heart melts every time we have a cuddle sesh. My whole family is wrapped around her little paw and we really wouldn’t have it any other way.

Tea

As I mentioned above, I love drinking tea. I can drink, and usually do, drink it at anytime of the day. My favourite kind is without question, Chai. I love the taste, smell and warmth it brings me. If I could only smell one scent for the rest of my life, Chai would be a serious contender.

Birkenstocks

For me, Birkenstocks are EVERYTHING. Hands down, ugliest but comfiest shoes I have ever owned. I have extremely flat feet and was too vain in high school to wear anything but flip flops, but I made the switch two years ago and I will never look back. I recommend these babies to anyone and everyone I meet.

Liquid Eyeliner

As I mentioned here earlier, liquid eyeliner is an essential in my life. I wear it on a daily basis and I feel naked the days I’m not. Since I mastered the cat eye technique (not an easy feat), I honestly believe my eyes do not look the same without that wonderful swipe of black.

And there you have it, my list of five items I can’t live without. While these items are replaceable, except Brinkley of course, they are some of the little things that make up wonderful moments of my life.
